BUDAPEST-BASED GLOBAL INNOVATION COMMUNITY RECEIVES INVESTMENT FROM SINGAPORE
The open innovation platform, founded in 2020 by well-known startup professionals, offers a complete end-to-end service solution for hackathons and startup competitions in addition to community building and networking opportunities.
The founders created a platform for the startup ecosystem with an element missing for many years, thus ensuring the continuity of events that stopped during the pandemic.
The mission of Pozi.io is that the innovation process must be sustainable. The founders recognized that a massive wasting of talents and ideas was going on in the sector. After the hackathons and demo days that are popular worldwide, most of the projects born in the competitions fall apart within a few weeks. The mortality of unrewarded ideas is even more significant. We don’t know how many will be realized in the end because most of the time, no one cares for them after the events.
“Only the top three of the many thousands of applicants receive recognition at large corporate events. While the sector suffers from a huge shortage of human resources and innovation, we throw out hundreds of talents with their ideas in the trash,” says Roland Kovács, CEO of Pozi Network Zrt.
Pozi solves this problem by making events manageable, ideas, and talents traceable quickly and simply. Not only can the applicants be targeted in the community being built, but the ideas and projects can also be easily seen by those registered on the platform. Validating an idea and completing a one-pager is just a few clicks, and launching an entire innovation competition online is not longer than a few minutes. The participants will become members of an ever-building innovation community, with users from 50 countries. They can search for partners, investors, and consultants to kick off their journey of entrepreneurship. For free.
The founders of Pozi also have many years of experience in incubation and organizing hackathons/competitions. They want to replace the Excel spreadsheets used so far and offer additional opportunities for startups that have already been born by building an active mentor and investor community.
“With this investment, Pozi.io has chosen a partner that is currently successful in one of the most exciting areas, the crypto community. Not too far away, Pozi.io also plans to use Ether.card’s technology. Our goal is for as many founders as possible to start their project after a major competition for ideas. It is not just the winners who need to be given a chance to succeed. We believe that every member of our community is a valuable talent. ” — András Kristof, the founder of Ether.cards.
Pozi is prepared for the autumn hackathon and startup competition season. The platform also boasts its own events; the startup and idea competition called RESTART Series launched during the pandemic attracted many projects already in 2020; the series will continue in the autumn of 2021, for which applicants from all over the world are expected.
