TOWERS VS. STRONGHOLD
We started building something three years ago. After all this time, I understood the essence of my site, Pozi.io.
Everyone who builds a community, an ecosystem, starts by collecting names and email addresses in an Excel spreadsheet, writing newsletters, sending invitations, and organizing events using a dozen software tools. Everyone builds a separate tower. Although the tower is pretty and attractive, it is a very poor and impractical structure. It does not communicate with other towers, and transferring information within its building is difficult. The narrow scope of the spiral staircases is similar to a spreadsheet in which you slowly forget who and why you should pay attention to whom. The towers are fragile; however, if anything, they are very vulnerable to change. What is the solution?
In the Middle Ages, the answer to this question had already been figured out, and it didn't take much searching for the right word... Stronghold.
A Stronghold, a Strongpoint, is a community-protecting structure that allows people with the same goals to come together, even to take action against something. In the Stronghold, people can communicate more efficiently and sell their products in the marketplace. Oh, and it has towers that even provide the opportunity for personal space.
POZI.io is an ecosystem builder where we build a big typical stronghold where smaller towers and communities have a place. The Stronghold becomes an exciting and enjoyable place because of the people who live in it.
