When I wanted a tiny sized baby monitor for my first born It was expensive, big and dumb. For my second born: cheaper, big and partly smart. I would make a camera+microphone+sensors+wifi/BT with an intuitive app in the size of the 18650 li-po battery, as a hangable device that allerts the parents at movevent, noize, trouble, or give access to audio+video any time. Also installable to LED laps, so any rooms gets survalience. Consumes energy only on demand.
