Crane Migration Flocking Visual

The Vicsek model is a mathematical model that describes collective motion, in which, each particle is following nearby birds. We applied the Vicsek model to crane migration data observed in different countries and years. We can see flocks developing along the paths these birds have flown. If there are not enough points of observed data, the birds will not be able to organize themselves into a flock. This can serve as an analogy for threatened bird populations.
