Senior media and NGO executive, social entrepreneur, and consultant in the area of communications and international relations for business. Advisor for Europe to the World Woman Davos conference, she also served as an executive at several leading media and social impact initiatives in Poland: Gazeta Wyborcza and Wysokie Obcasy Foundations, Przekrój Magazine, Boma Poland, and The Kings Foundation, the last of which she co-founded. 

Magdalena Olczak

Passionate VC expert with a proven international track record, happy to mentor "ahead of the curve" founders. Startup Ecosystem Enthusiast and VC Investor with 10+ years of work experience in Poland, Austria, Israel, and Germany. As a skilled manager, I've navigated multiple VC funds and also hold a Doctorate in Finance with a specialization in venture capital.

My expertise? Assisting them in securing crucial financing rounds!

Michał Miszułowicz

Since the beginning of his professional career, he has been associated with corporate banking. He began working at BNP Paribas in 2007 in the area of corporate customer service, and then moved on to the creation of new products and services. He has represented corporate banking in various projects (including MiFID, PSD). Since 2017, he has been co-creating the Digital Transformation Area. He coordinates collaborations with startups and scale-ups. He co-created an offering for innovative companies and represented BNP Paribas in two investment rounds of Autenti. He is a mentor in numerous accelerator programs. In his private life, he is a photographer and a new technology enthusiast.

Women Startup Competition is an annual startup competition in Europe. It was born in 2012, in Budapest, Hungary.The community and the network keep growing from the very beginning, and we constantly expand geographically. WSC is present in 12 European countries offering training series and competitions as well

WHY APPLY

To get attention, to grow women's participation in business, to create gender balance.

Increase your chances! All the winners from the local semifinal events go straight to the Final Demo Day. 

WHO CAN APPLY

One requirement is that the applicant must be a startup led by female CEO or a female-founded/co-founded or Startup that has at least 50% women in the entrepreneurial team or a female CEO or female founder.

The second requirement is that the startup should be at least at the MVP phase or very close to launching, so something tangible to show.

A short guideline for new bees:

--> The steps that need to follow if you already have an account on Pozi but you did not submit your project yet:

1.Register to Pozi.io + Activate the account via email confirmation;

2. Log in to Pozi and create an idea or startup (in case the participant does not have any);

3. Open the competition;

4. Go to Ideas or Startups in the menu of the competition;

5. Look for the Submit button, click on it;

6. Choose your idea or startup from the dropdown-list and submit it;
