About this event

In a collaborative effort, Draper Startup House is hosting the Asian Wander Women (AWW) community + friends for drinks and an intimate learning night. Grab a drink and seat—you’ll be seated in a pod of five where you’ll get to hang out with globally-minded friends.

We’ll be featuring speakers who will share their own personal stories of leaving their home country in unconventional ways to build their business while living overseas.

Grace Kwan, Co-founder of Orca Protocol

Grace Kwan, aka Ori (her preferred moniker), is Orca’s other cofounder and de facto head of product. With a background in engineering, design, and writing, she specializes in turning complex technical systems into products users love. After getting her B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science at Stanford, she worked as a software engineer at Coursera and an interaction designer at IDEO Tokyo. When she’s not spinning up smart contracts or slick UX, she moonlights as a hobbyist food writer (this year, she published her first stories in Gastro Obscura)!

Xi Liu, Founder of Ferne Health

Xi runs a digital health platform providing home-based healthcare solutions for women’s sexual health and wellness. With the mission to empower women in Asia to take control of their own body image and health decisions, Ferne Health was featured by the top media such as BBC, CNA, Strait Times, The Business Times, etc. Xi moved from San Francisco where she worked as a Product Manager at Amazon to Singapore in 2020 to start Ferne as women’s health is more stigmatized in Asia. Xi is also a lister of Forbes 30 under 30 Asia.
