First Monday - Dániel Farkas, Co-Founder of Drops

Join us for the next First Monday on Nov 7th for a fireside chat with Daniel Farkas, Co-Founder of Drops (acquired by Kahoot).

Dani and his co-founder Mark Szulyovszky started to work on solving the puzzle of a more effective way of learning languages in 2012. They went through an Estonian accelerator and spent 18 months building their first product, LearnInvisible. Realizing that the product was “not sticky enough,” they started from scratch and rebuilt Drops which took off in 2015. Fast forward to 2020, and after hitting 20 million users and a $10M revenue run rate, the company was acquired by Kahoot! for $50 million. Drops has not raised any VC funding.

Dani recently stepped down from leading the team of Drops. He will join us to discuss the lessons learned from bootstrapping and selling his company and how he built a remote-first global team and an award-winning product as an underdog.
